The problem…

…other than my usual laziness, is that I’ve missed so much over the last several months that I don’t even know where to start. I did do a Q&A with One Foot Down, which you can read here. Writing that got me thinking that maybe a Q&A is the best way to get back into the swing of things. So I’ll let you decide what I should write about in my first (real) post back after my hiatus. Let’s do “Ask a Birddog Anything.” Send a note, leave a comment, or shoot me an e-mail at thebirddog99@gmail.com. Let’s do a Q&A and get the blog started up again.

Update: Closing off questions for now. Answers on the way.

  1. My favorite features of your blog are your post game breakdowns of why the TO worked, and why it didn’t against the defensive schemes of our opponents.

Perhaps you can also start breakdowns of how we played on the defensive side of the ball as well.

    Would this be feasible?

  2. Sure, but that’s not exactly the kind of Q&A I’m talking about.

  3. I can’t remember a year in which we returned such little production at slot. 1) Does this concern you? 2) Who steps up? 3) Does this put any more or less pressure on our talented but young QB?

  4. At the risk of asking something too obvious: You were pro-Big East, back when you felt the basketball schools were unlikely to leave. Are you still pro-American Athletic? How does this compare to Army’s ill-fated decision to join Conference USA?

  5. It would be too easy to make a Texas Bowl joke here, so I won’t.

  6. What’s the deal with Josh Tate? First off the roster (June 7), then back on (June 30 and still most recent depth chart). He is named in the legal action in the news against Navy players. Does his re-appearance suggest he has been cleared somehow?

  7. 81Zoltan

In your opinion, who was the most effective quarterback during Navy’s option era?

  8. What are the chances we see a varsity hockey program anytime soon? Or ever?
