So sayeth the headline at Lacrosse Magazine as Clare Lochary compares the paths that brought men’s and women’s lacrosse assistant coaches Stan Ross and Allison Valentino to Annapolis.
“This place is amazing. It’s unbelievable. I don’t even know half the things that happen here,” said Ross. “I don’t think there’s any other D-I place where in the football stadium, there’s a lacrosse hall of fame.”
Word.
Great find. Interesting the connection that they already had before coming to Navy.
At this fall’s NAPS v Anne Arundel scrimmage, Coach Ross was watching from the D end sideline. NAPS had a monster crease Dman who was just dominating. One one play, he knocked the stick completely out of his attackman’s hands, the attackman went to his knees, & the Dman scooped up the ball & trigerred a breakout pass (no flags). It was so onesided, spectators were averting their eyes. Coach Ross put his hand over his mouth to cover his grin, so as not to embarass any AA parents. He looked like one happy coach.
